Steph and Ryan just finished up the field work for Steph’s MSc project on natural regeneration of black spruce and aspen after the Fort McMurray fire. Looks like fun! This last piece of fieldwork was to look at the seed bed requirements for black spruce in both wetland and upland ecosites. Past work looked at aspen sucker regeneration after fire and land reclamation. Field work is done, on to the data analysis!
